Universal Athletic Club

My experience has been awful, staff is inconsiderate to the point of liable. A majority of the patrons are aggressive and completely ignorant. The cost is out of line and extremely high for the quality and services available. Besides having to overpay you then have to pay more just to use parts of the gym because of “classes” if that’s what they call them. I truthfully can’t find a reason I would recommend this gym. My suggestion is run away as fast as possible.

The shower corners in the men’s locker room have visible mold issues, and the Turkish steam room only seems to smell like eucalyptus on holidays. Also, if you ever decide to cancel your membership, be prepared to pay a $150 fee. Other than that, yes — it’s a good gym

My husband and me, and our now 2 adult children, have been members for years, and decided to share our experience. We wouldn't go any place else! This is not just a gym, it's a complete wellness center with so many benefits offered for encouraging fitness and good health. The cost is well worth it! Great staff, very friendly, caring and knowledgeable. You feel like you're part of a community, and not just a gym. Always updating equipment, and many perks are included in your membership. The addition of the Renewal Center is amazing! Red light therapy, Bemer, lymphatic compression, oxygen cycling, and more! The Owner genuinely cares and has a passion for encouraging good health, and a desire to be the best! We highly recommend it!

I really wanted to love this gym during the month I tried it before committing, but the equipment and overall facility are simply too outdated to justify the high membership fee. Many of the machines show significant wear, and the space feels neglected compared to what you’d expect at this price point. At $120/month, it fell well short of expectations. There were also local ads plastered throughout the gym, which felt distracting and out of place while working out (and I do support local businesses as much as possible). The local businesses must be paying for these ads, which is odd that they need that as an additional revenue source.
